Ajman Labour Camp Grocery

 

As an initiative to community service, Bond Interiors has started a grocery at the Ajman labour camp to provide an easy access to basic daily groceries. The grocery has helped the people around in saving the time and effort involved in making trips to supermarkets outside the camp thus enabling the workers to utilize the extra time to unwind after a hard day’s work.

 

 

 


 

 

Share Life. Give Blood - A Bond Interiors Blood Donation Campaign

 

As a part of our CSR programme, Bond Interiors held a Blood Donation campaign that was successfully conducted at the Sharjah Blood Donation Bank MOH Muweilah. The campaign was conducted in several phases with many willing staff attending in batches to contribute to this social cause.

 

Bond’s HSE Incharge Bijoy John and HR Manager Sandeep Karunakaran were present at the event along with the staff.

 

 

 


 

 

Iftar for Bond Workers 2015

 

Following the Corporate Iftar 2015, additional Iftar functions were also held at all Bond worker accommodations across Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Keeping with the spirit of the Holy month of Ramadan, Bond’s HR team made arrangements to have Iftar meals distributed to all the workers on the 4th of July. HR Manager Sandeep Karunakaran along with the admin staff was present at all the camps to oversee the smooth functioning of the event.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Corporate Iftar 2015

 

As a Bond family tradition, this year too saw a Corporate Iftar function held during the Holy month of Ramadan. The event that was held in the Al Thuraya Ballroom at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dubai was welcomed by all of Bond employees to celebrate the Month of Fasting. The fun filled environment saw a lot of photo sessions with the management and a delicious palette of intercontinental delicacies that catered to all who were present.

 

 

 


 

 

The Broadway Revue at the UAS 

 

Bond Interiors is proud to have contributed to ‘The Broadway Revue’ conducted by the Fine Arts Booster Club (FABc) at the Universal American School Dubai. With 14 exciting numbers from different musicals adapted to the UAS stage, this show was a huge production with a cast of 131 people made up of 90 students and 41 adults. The show was a tremendous success with levels of participation, support, preparation and brilliance in performance that is hard to find in any of Dubai’s live theatres.

 

Bond Interiors is proud to support the FABC which serves to promote arts at UAS as a means to strengthen the community, provoke positive change, create cultural awareness and raise funds for art.

 

 


 

Bond at the AUD's Interior Design Showcase Exhibition 2015.

 

Bond Interiors participated in the Interior Design Senior Showcase 2015 which was held at the American University in Dubai. The two day event hosted by Interior Design faculty is the culmination of a year’s worth of effort as the students spend a semester conducting research into a building typology and another semester designing their thesis project. The students had a very diverse range of projects including a nursery, depression treatment center, hotels, sustainable malls, scientific laboratories, toyshop, museum, and meditation retreat house.

 

Tarek Ardakani – Bond’s General Manager (BD) was nominated as a member of the jury panel that analysed the students’ projects. 

 

 


 

 Anti-Smoking Campaign

 

As a part of our community benefit initiative, Bond Interiors presented a token of appreciation to Amiteash Paul, a grade 7 student at the Indian High School Dubai for an anti-smoking campaign that he conducted for around 500 workers at one of Bond’s labour camps in Sonapur.

 

 

 

 


 

 

Bond Interiors Basketball Tournament 2014

 

Two teams saw themselves battling it out for three weeks at the basketball tournament organised by Bond Interiors as a part of the CSR campaign. Team Falcons and Team Tigers played against each other in the ‘Best of Five Series’ matches held at the Asma Sports Hall in Dubai. Team Falcons were the undisputed winners with a continuous streak of three wins throughout the matches played and walked away with the Championship Trophy.

 

Saad Moaswes, Managing Director of Bond Interiors presented the trophy to the champions and the runner up team. He was accompanied by Bond’s Marketing Manager Vinod Thomas, HR Manager Sandeep Karunakaran and an exciting audience made up of Bond staff and their families. 

 

 

 


 

Bond Interiors Cricket Tournament 2014

 

Bond Interiors’ Inter Department Cricket Tournament saw four teams battling it out at the Ajman Cricket Grounds on the 6th of December 2014. The teams –Bond Blasters, Bond MEP Challengers, Bond Royals and Bond Technical Kings were in full throttle to win the Championship title at the event. After several nail biting matches, Bond MEP Challengers emerged victorious followed by Bond Blasters, Bond Royals and Bond Technical Kings at the first, second and third runner up positions.

 

Managing Director Saad Moaswes and General Manager Steve Kiernan congratulated the winners and presented the trophies to the teams.

 

 

 


 

 

Swedish Wood meets Arabian

 

Bond Interiors collaborated with AUD by undertaking the full scale production of the student's projects for ‘Swedish Wood Meets Arabia’, a student design competition aimed at creating a link between Scandinavian wood culture and Arabic design.

 

We are delighted to be part of this event which encourages students to explore designs that combine concept and material with function. Design is an essential aspect to accelerate industry progress and we are proud to have collaborated with AUD for this event that will nurture creativity and enhance the confidence of future interior designers,” said Saad Moaswes, Managing Director at Bond Interiors.

 

For Bond’s contribution to the event, Saad Moaswes received a 'Token of Appreciation' from Dr. Albert Fakhoury - Chair and Associate Professor of Interior Design at the American University of Dubai.

 

 

 


 

 

Training Programmes for Employees

 

Bond recognizes the importance to provide employees with ongoing education through various types of training designed to improve the technical, administrative and interpersonal skills necessary in their present job and position them with opportunities for future growth within the organization.

 

Specialized Technical Training:

Eligible employees for both external professional training and in-house technical training are selected through Performance Appraisal process. This month saw quite a few departments enrolling selected employees for various training sessions mainly sector oriented like product training, functional training, paint technologies etc.

 

USGBC LEED Workshops:

With the increase in Bond projects’ attainment of LEED accreditation, more site oriented personnel have been enrolled to attend the USGBC LEED workshops. These workshops will provide essential knowledge of sustainable building concepts that are fundamental to all commercial and institutional LEED rating systems. These workshops will include interactive activities that will cover LEED intents and concepts at the credit category level, including common strategies, synergies, metrics and referenced standards; as well as basics of the LEED certification process.

 

Estidama Training Programme:

Bond’s key management personnel and project managers attended the Estidama training programme conducted by the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) to help industry professionals understand how to achieve high Pearl ratings for new buildings in the emirate and achieve higher levels of sustainability in future developments.

 

The first two courses cover understanding and awareness and application of the new system, and are applicable to architects, designers and developers, while the third course covers administration of the Pearl rating system and is aimed at those who will assess applications. All the courses help towards achieving the ranking of Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP).

 

 


 

 

Bond Interiors awarded the 2014 CSR Label

 

At a ceremony held by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 25th September 2014, Bond Interiors was awarded the Dubai Chamber CSR Label. The Label is awarded to companies that foster sustainable business practices and are dedicated to spreading the importance of CSR objectives across the community.

 

The Label award was presented by His Excellency Hisham Al Shirawi – Second Vice Chairman, Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry to Steve Kiernan – General Manager, Bond Interiors. Bond’s senior management were also present at the event along with the dedicated team that worked behind the scenes to achieve this award. 

 

 

 


 

In the Right Pace with ‘PACES’

 

Bond sets the right pace in philanthropy by collaborating with PACES to bring about a difference to the children of developing communities. Founded in 2006, PACES (Palestinian Association for Children's Encouragement of Sports) is a non-profitable organisation aimed at providing healthy, structured after-school sports programs for Palestinian children to protect them from destructive influences and to empower them within their communities.

 

With numerous sponsored charity events in the past, Bond’s recent contribution to PACES strengthens the corporate mission of the necessity in ‘Giving back to the Community.’

 

 

 

 

'Bond Cares' free Medical Camp - A Bond Interiors' CSR Initiative

 

As a part of a very broad CSR program and with an effort to create heath awareness amongst employees, Bond Interiors launched a free medical camp on Friday the 4th of April 2014.

 

The objective of the camp was to provide medical analysis of cholesterol, blood pressure and sugar with free follow up consultations based on the results of the tests. More than 500 of Bond Interiors’ employees availed of this free service that was conducted at Al Shams Medical & Diagnostic Center located in Sharjah, Industrial Area 15.

 

Present at the ‘Bond Cares’ program, Saad Moaswes, Managing Director of Bond Interiors said, “Bond is company of commitment to our people and to our society.” Managing Director of Al Shams Medical & Diagnostic Center Mr. Sahmsuddin, who was also present at the camp, emphasized on the necessity of corporate companies in coming forward with such welfare programs for their employees. 

 

A preview of a list of upcoming activities in the agenda is a computer training course as an employee and workmen skill enhancement program, assistance to special needs schools and an outdoor get-together for the employees along with their families.

 
 

 

 Iftar for Bond Workers 2014

 

Iftar was hosted for workers across all Bond labour accommodations.

 

The day following the Corporate Iftar 2014, additional Iftar functions were also held at all Bond worker accommodations across Dubai and Sharjah. Corporate Iftar 2014

 

With the onset of the Holy month of Ramadan, Bond Interiors held a corporate Iftar for all employees in the Dubai Ballroom at the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel & Towers. The event saw all Bond staff including the management dressed in their corporate white T-shirts and gathered together in a friendly environment. Steve Kiernan, General Manager greeted everyone with a welcome note and Saad Moaswes, Managing Director addressed the staff with a brief but motivating speech. Salim V.E., Project Director gave the vote of thanks.

 

 

 


 

 

Bonding for a Healing Cause

 

Bond Interiors is proud to announce an active support to the PCRF’s Healing Hearts Campaign by sponsoring the ‘Running for their Life’ at the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon. The marathon which will start off from Downtown Dubai will be held on the 25th of January 2013.

 

The Healing Hearts Campaign provides essential free cardiac surgery and medical missions for children with congenital heart disease in the Gaza Strip. Each year in that region alone, over three-hundred babies are born with this life threatening condition. The Palestine Children's Relief Fund is the only non-profit and non-political organization dedicated to saving the lives of these children.

 

 


 

 

Making a Difference

 

By being actively involved in various philanthropic activities, Bond’s belief in ‘making a difference’ to communities around is an ongoing corporate venture. Collaborating with several charitable organisations for various events, Bond’s recent activity was a sizeable donation made through PCRF towards providing wheel chairs for the disabled youth in Palestine. 

 

In association with Bond Interiors, PCRF (Palestine Children’s Relief Fund) a non-political, non-profit organisation has helped in healing the wounds of war, occupation and poverty for children in the Middle East, regardless of their nationality, religion, race or gender.
